· Marine gearboxes are equipped with the functions of reversing, engaging/disengaging, speed reduction and bearing the thrust of the propeller. They are paired with the main engine to form a marine power unit.
The transmission capacity is defined as the ratio of the engine's continuous power to its rated speed. There is a corresponding relationship between the reduction ratio and the transmission capacity, and the value selected should be less than that specified in the manual. The gearbox is furnished with high-elastic couplings and gear couplings. If customers require the gear couplings, there may be an issue where the transmission capacity of some products gets reduced. In such a situation, it is necessary to get in touch with the company's technical department.
· Rigid connections between the gearbox and the engine shaft system are not permitted. It is recommended that the brackets be installed on the same rigid support. If the engine is mounted on an elastic support while the gearbox is on a rigid support, then it is advisable to contact the our technical department to select an appropriate high-elastic coupling.
· The weight provided is an approximate value and varies with different reduction ratios.
· Due to technical improvements, partial alterations to the products cannot be ruled out
This marine gearbox adopts advanced manufacturing technology and high-quality materials to ensure its stable performance.
1. Shaft and coupling parts are usually forged with high-quality alloy steel (42CrMoA) and subjected to quenching and tempering treatment to ensure that they have good comprehensive mechanical properties and meet the requirements of stable transmission of torque and motion in mechanical transmission systems.
2. Gears and gear shaft parts are mostly made of high-quality low-carbon alloy steel (such as 20CrMnMoH, 20CrMnTi, 17CrNiMo6), which are carburized and quenched after forging. Such a process combination can make the surface of the parts obtain high hardness, high wear resistance and good fatigue resistance, while the core still maintains a certain toughness and strength, effectively adapting to the working requirements of gears under complex stress conditions, and improving their transmission efficiency and service life.
3. The clutch adopts a hydraulically operated wet multi-plate friction clutch. Gray cast iron (HT200, HT250) is generally used. This type of material has good casting performance, shock absorption and wear resistance, and can provide a stable structural foundation and working characteristics for the clutch;
4. The housing is usually made of gray cast iron (HT200, HT250). The characteristics of gray cast iron enable it to effectively reduce the vibration and noise of the housing during operation and have good structural stability.
