Packaged Units (Self-Contained)Marine Air Conditioners

The main structure is made of stainless steel, providing strong corrosion resistance. The fasteners use stainless steel rivet nuts and machine screws, ensuring secure connections and high impact resistance. The control system includes multiple protective measures such as water deficiency protection, overcooling/overheating protection, and high/low pressure protection, significantly enhancing remote fault diagnosis capabilities while reducing after-sales service frequency and costs. It has obtained certification from the China Classification Society (CCS) and holds five patents.
Overview of Marine Air Conditioners
The  Series marine air conditioner comprises five major series with over forty specifications. The five series include: integrated marine air conditioners, split-type marine air conditioners, DC-powered marine air conditioners, direct-expansion marine air conditioners, and marine central air conditioners (modular chiller units). The cooling capacity of integrated units ranges from 6,000 BTU to 36,000 BTU, while chiller units offer a cooling capacity from 36,000 BTU to 180,000 BTU.

General Installation Requirements for Marine Air Conditioners

1. Power Supply Setup
Make sure your power supply can handle the unit's max load, especially in rough conditions (check the nameplate for specs).
Use a quality circuit breaker rated higher than the unit's max current-add some extra margin to avoid false trips.
Cables must be properly sized for the current draw.
Ground it right-no shortcuts here (check the nameplate for details).
2. Mounting the Unit
Install on a flat, solid surface and bolt it down tight using all mounting points-you don't want it shifting at sea.
Add rubber pads or dampers if needed to cut down on vibration noise.
3. Drainage (Keep It Dry!)
Angle drain pipes at least 1% downhill so water flows out smoothly.
Insulate the pipes-otherwise, you'll get drips and condensation where you don't want them.

4. Ductwork Tips
Seal ducts tight-no leaks allowed, or you'll lose cooling fast.
Avoid sharp bends-if you must curve, keep it gentle (radius >2× pipe width) to keep airflow smooth.
Kitchens & bathrooms? Don't recycle air-use exhaust fans to keep smells and grease out. Maintain slight negative pressure (>10Pa).
Line air outlets with foam to stop condensation buildup.
Make sure total vent area is 2-4× the fan size for even airflow.
5. Seawater Cooling (Don't Skip This!)
Pipes must match the heat exchanger ports-no jury-rigging.
Keep pipes straight or vertical where possible.
Double-clamp all connections-saltwater leaks are a nightmare.
Clean the seawater filter often (how often? Depends on how dirty your water is).
Put a shutoff valve between the filter and pump-makes maintenance way easier.
Run pipes low in the engine room for best water flow.
6. Airflow & Filters
Don't cram filters right against grilles-give them space to breathe.
Grille openings should be 1.3× bigger than the filter area-no choking the airflow.
Keep air speed below 5 m/s (max 7 m/s) to avoid noise and turbulence.
